- Strength and range-of-motion progression
- Gait re-education
- Return-to-function coaching
Your First Session
Rehab starts once your surgical team has confirmed you have no restrictions. The first session reviews your surgeon's notes or discharge summary if you have them and confirms that clearance. You'll be guided through a safe range-of-motion and strength check over video, and leave with goals we agree together and a plan to work towards them, not just a generic exercise sheet.
Conditions Treated
Total knee replacement rehab
Total hip replacement rehab
ACL reconstruction
Rotator cuff repair

What Progress Looks Like
Recovery time is set mainly by your operation and your surgical team's advice. It depends on your condition; your physiotherapist will give you an estimate after your assessment. We review your progress regularly and adjust your plan at each session, within any advice from your surgical team.
When In-Person Care Is a Better Fit
Wound checks, staple/suture removal, and any complication (infection signs, excessive swelling, a fall, or a joint that isn't progressing as expected) need in-person medical review — those go straight back to your surgical team, not managed through an online rehab plan. Rehab starts once your surgical team has confirmed you have no restrictions.
Common Questions
When should physiotherapy start after surgery?
Rehab starts once your surgical team has confirmed you have no restrictions. Until then, follow the exercises and advice your hospital team gave you.
Can online rehab work after surgery?
For some people, once their surgical team has confirmed they have no restrictions. We review your progress regularly and adjust your plan, and we'll tell you if you need to be seen in person instead.
What if I'm still on crutches or can't stand for long?
Rehab starts once your surgical team has confirmed you have no restrictions. If you still use crutches or a frame after that, sessions can be adapted to seated or supported positions, and a walking assessment isn't required to start.
Do you work with my surgeon or NHS physio team?
No. We're a separate private service and we don't coordinate your care with your surgical or NHS team. Keep your GP or specialist team informed about your treatment. Follow your surgeon's advice.
